Prudential First Franchise To Offer VA Course

Prudential University On Tour Conferences Feature Virtual Assistance Workshops

SANTA BARBARA, CA. - October 21, 2002 — The Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc., a company of Prudential Financial (NYSE: PRU) is the first major franchise to offer a 3-hour intensive workshop on the use of virtual assistance to increase business and enhance personal lifestyle for their sales professionals. These workshops, created and presented exclusively by Michael Russer (a.k.a. Mr. Internet®), are the featured session at each of the "Prudential University On Tour" locations to be held at four cities nationwide during the Fall of 2002, commencing with Portland, Oregon.

“We are always looking for ways that empower our associates and their brokers to do more, yet maintain balanced lifestyles,” says Bob Watson, VP Product Management & Education, The Prudential Real Estate Affiliates, Inc.. "and this workshop is the first approach we have seen that directly addresses these issues in a practical, real-world way utilizing the tremendous power of the Net to connect our associates to talented assistance from around the world."

Virtual assistance is help from anyone who speaks your language and has the time, talent, and desire to assist you with any aspect of your business that can be accomplished from a distance (as opposed to traditional on-site assistants). There are two types of virtual assistance: Virtual Consultants (VCs) for one-time projects and Virtual Assistants (VAs) for ongoing assistance.

“The real estate industry has become far to complex and detail oriented for sales associate to do it all themselves and still have a life,” says Michael Russer, President of RUSSER Communications and creator of the course, “and most sales professionals don't have the budget, space, or management ability to support having traditional on-site assistance. This material gives them the immediate ability to tap into talent that is highly affordable, yet doesn't come with the headaches or costs typical of on-site staffing.”

The three-hour "Earn More, Work Less, & Enjoy Life —Virtually!" workshop featured in the Prudential University On Tour sessions covers every aspect of how to find, evaluate, hire, and work effectively with Virtual Assistants and Virtual Consultants, often within just hours of returning home from the session. It also features a unique "Go vs. Grow Action Plan™" exercise that helps attendees immediately identify which activities in their day-to-day business can be easily and safely delegated to a VA or VC.

“The use of virtual assistants and virtual consultants is an incredible paradigm shift in the way we traditionally do business as sales people.” says Rob Levy, a top producing Prudential agent in the Portland, OR area and user of three virtual assistants, “I attended the Portland VA Workshop during the Tour and found that this workshop makes it easy and practical for even new agents to tap into the benefits of a high-powered team, without the hassles.”

Mr. Russer, also known as Mr. Internet®, is the real estate industry's leading international speaker and author about the Internet. He has also the industry's leading voice for virtual outsourcing within the real estate business and is co-author of the industry's only publication on the subject titled "Transform Your Business Using Virtual Assistance For Real Estate Professionals" published in March 2002.
